Come enjoy an ice fishing trip in the mountains!

In ice fishing you drill holes through the ice and fish in the holes using special short rods and reels which are designed for ice fishing. We will be fishing for Rainbow and Brown Trout.

Dowdy Lake is about 45 miles northwest of Fort Collins in the mountains by the village of Red Feather Lakes, CO. The driving time is about 1 hour.

Waterproof warm footwear and extra pairs of socks.
(an extra pair of shoes for the cabin is also nice)
Food and drinks for lunch and snacks
Warm clothes, hat, gloves/mittens – be sure to bring multiple layers.
Folding chair or bucket to sit on while fishing.
• Something to bring your fish back in.
• Also nice to have: sunglasses, chapstick, sunscreen.

You must have this before we leave

$13.90 Daily fishing permit available at:
Division of Wildlife office at 317 W. Prospect Rd.
(this is east of the Hilton on Prospect)
