Trip to Gateway Natural Area
Come join us for a visit to Gateway Natural Area!
Gateway Natural Area is where the North Fork of the Poudre River joins the main branch of the Poudre River
and is the location of Fort Collins' original water filtration facility. There is a picnic area and restrooms.
We will meet at 4:00 p.m. at CSU University Village - 1600 W Plum by the office.
We will checkin and load up and then drive to Gateway Natural Area.
Once we arrive at Gateway Natural area we will hike up to Milton-Seaman Reservoir and then have a picnic supper.

The Milton-Seaman Reservoir is on the North Fork of the Poudre River.
The hike is about 1 mile long. The majority of the hike is a flat trail along the North Fork of the Poudre River.
The last part of the hike is steeper, as we go up the embankment of the dam.
