Come enjoy an ice fishing trip in the mountains!

In ice fishing you drill holes through the ice and fish in the holes using special short rods and reels which are designed for ice fishing. We will be fishing for Rainbow and Brown Trout.

The village of Red Feather Lakes, CO is about 45 miles northwest of Fort Collins in the mountains. The driving time is about 1 hour.

You must have this before we leave

$--.-- Daily fishing permit available at:
Division of Wildlife office at 317 W. Prospect Rd.
(this is east of the Hilton on Prospect)

You should buy a license for Saturday -/--/2024


WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
Waterproof warm footwear and extra pairs of socks.
   (if you have ice spikes (yaktrax) bring them)
Food and drinks for lunch and snacks
Warm clothes, hat, gloves/mittens – be sure to bring multiple layers.
• Something to bring your fish back in.
• Also nice to have: sunglasses, chapstick, sunscreen.


WHAT I (Randy) WILL BRING
• Ice fishing poles, one for each person
• Folding chair or bucket to sit on while fishing.
• An ice drill--to drill the holes in the ice
• Bait for everyone.
